FAQ

Where is your office located?

My office is located off Lexington and Union Boulevard in Monument, Colorado. I’m as close as your best Internet connection for those who want telehealth. I have a HIPPA-compliant (AKA confidential) program that you will access by a secure link.

Concierge services are also available, depending on need.

What are your office hours?
My office hours are mostly weekdays, 8-5. Some evening and weekend appointments are available.
How long are your sessions?
The typical session is 50 minutes. However, for those interested in sharing a longer consecutive workspace, I can schedule sessions up to 110 minutes. (Considerable research in psycho-immunology and psych-endocrinology supports the case for a longer workspace.)
Do you take insurance?

No, I do not. My business model is based on the cost of living and the price to pay back my university degrees. The insurance company does not compensate me at this rate. Furthermore, there is value in you realizing your value is beyond whatever deal you’ve struck with the medical insurance complex!

Remember L’Oreal: “Believe in yourself! You’re worth it!”

How do I set up an appointment?
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must occur 48 hours in advance. I will assess a fee of $90 for late cancellations and no-shows/no-calls. Family emergencies, including illness, are exceptions.
What age range do you work with?
I work with mature children from age 15 (e.g., not developmentally delayed) to end-of-life. My oldest client was 82. I’ve worked with everybody in between. When working with minors, parents sit in on the first session and sessions that measure progress and terminal sessions. Otherwise, it will be considered a family session with a different feel and purpose.
Do you work with men, women, non-binary couples?
Yes, I work with everyone ready to commit to the journey. I may also work with couples that only have one committed person. However, this work often involves initial 1:1 work, preparing for couples work.
What do I do in sessions?
You will learn to speak your Truth, dropping honesty in favor of authenticity. As your guide, I will become attuned to your style and give you things to experience. This will help shape you into your natural self rather than anything I prescribed, your past, social norms, or anything else that could negatively impact you (e.g., the collective unconscious).
What modalities do you use?

I use existentialism as conceived by Irvin Yalam and James FT Bugental, strategic work as conceived by Virginia Satir, cognitive restructuring as conceived by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, executive trancework as conceived by Milton H. Erickson MD, and therapeutic catharsis found in the corrective emotional experience by Fritz Perls.

Sigmund Freud, Carl Yung, and William James also heavily influence my therapeutic approach. The Bhagavad Gita” and “The Yoga Sutra” inform my work and training in yoga. My work and training in Tanta is through many Indian and Buddhist texts. My favorite speaker on Tantra is Osho.

What do I need to know to benefit from our work together?
I am entirely committed to your evolution. I expect a growing commitment toward your commitment to life (vs. the thoughts/beliefs you have developed). This includes the completion of weekly homework, including experiments in living, journaling, and gratitude. I’ll take you from where you are because that is the most natural starting point. Then, you’ll blossom where you are through the work (dharma) that is your life!
Which is better, cats or dogs?
Both! Cats prove the world is not flat because they would have pushed everything off the edge. Also, they refuse to be herded. See the cowboys herding cats video on YouTube. Dogs because, well, they’re man’s best friend. They want you to see you for the you they can see, AND that is awesome!
What do you do in your spare time?

I love the mountains – hiking them, camping in them, snowboarding in them, treasure hunting/foraging in them, or just hanging out with them.

I love practicing yoga, going to the gym with my son, attending eateries with my wife and son, and people-watching. I also love traveling to places near and far and seeing what the world offers.
